Day 56 – Canberra to Home

Sunday 27 November 2011

View 2011 South Australia Reunion on greynomadm's travel map.

This last day comprised of a quick dash down the Kings Hwy. There was some light rain, variable winds (mostly from behind for a change) and minimal traffic. We broke camp at about 0615 and arrived home just before 0900.

First task was to clean out the fridge/freezer which had been turned off and developed a healthy growth of mould. The remainder of the day was spent unloading the rig and catching up with the mountain of mail. It will take a few more days to get on top of things.

For those who have an interest here are some approximate numbers -
4,600 Km pulling the caravan
7,000 Km travelled overall
$1,500 spent on fuel
$1,500 spent on sites at caravan parks
55 days spent away from home.

That's it for this journey. I'll try to maintain a blog for the Cherry Blossom Cruise in March.

See you then, stay well and travel safely.

Cheers … Tony
